Best way to monitor cpu temps11/23/2023 We’ve got a guide to water-cooling your GPU, and hot-running enthusiasts with nothing to lose might find the upgrade worthwhile. If you really wanted to get adventurous in your quest for lower temperatures, you could swap out your graphics card’s cooling system for a liquid-cooling option while you’ve got it disassembled, though it’s overkill for most people. Our guide to making your old graphics card run like new is several years old, but the basic technique still applies to today’s GPUs. You could try to replace it if all else fails, though the process is highly technical, varies card-by-card, and voids the hell out of your warranty. And sometimes, graphics cards ship with poor thermal paste application, though it’s very rare. Our guide to picking the perfect PC case can help.įinally, sometimes the thermal paste between the GPU and the heatsink can become dry and lose its effectiveness, most commonly in graphics cards that are many years old. Even larger cases can strangle airflow if they’re poorly designed, however. If you have a particularly small case, and your graphics card keeps overheating and shutting down, consider upgrading to a more spacious model. Small form factor systems can deliver a big punch these days, but the constrained space can send hardware temperatures skyrocketing. ![]() Your hot graphics card could cool down in a more spacious case.

Cocker spaniel and king charles cavalier mix11/23/2023 ![]() His spaniel heritage comes out when he’s outside, and he enjoys exploring, sniffing, and chasing. He gets along well with other dogs, pets, and people. See also How to Stop Your Cavalier King Charles Spaniel from BarkingĬocker spaniel enjoys spending time with you on the couch as much as he appreciates out on a stroll. Sweet, kind, playful, eager to please, affectionate, and quiet are all words that come to mind when I think of him. In many ways, the Cavalier is an excellent home pet. The Cavalier was recognized by the American Kennel Club (AKC) in 1996. In America, they took longer to catch on, and many Cavalier owners opposed AKC recognition in order to avoid the issues that frequently come with popularity. It was outstripped by their short-nosed counterparts in popularity, becoming one of England’s most popular breeds of all dogs. These dogs was named Cavalier King Charles Spaniels after the Cavalier King. In order to win the prize, breeders bred their old-type dogs together, and as a result, many people learned to adore the old type. When a wealthy American, Roswell Eldridge, arrived to England and offered exorbitant prize money for the best “pointed-nosed” spaniels, most closely approximating the ancient breed, fate intervened. The few dogs who resembled the early members of the breed were regarded substandard by the early 1900s. The dogs became known as King Charles Spaniels because they were so closely associated with him.Īfter his death, the Duke of Marlborough took over as the breed’s leading promoter his favorite color, red and white “Blenheim,” is called after his home.įor years, the King Charles Spaniel dog graced the houses of the elite.īut as time goes on, a shorter-nosed dog was favored. King Charles II was so infatuated with his toy spaniels in the 1700s that he was accused of putting his puppies ahead of official issues. See also King Charles Cavalier Cocker Spaniels ![]() Toy spaniels became particularly popular because they appealed to all family members. They also have the important job of drawing fleas from their owners’ bodies! The “comforter spaniels,” as they were known in Tudor times, served as lap and foot warmers, as well as substitute hot water bottles. Small spaniels were presumably crossed with Oriental toy breeds like the Japanese Chin and maybe the Tibetan Spaniel to produce European toy dogs. The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel has spaniel ancestry, as its name suggests. They should weigh between 20 and 30 pounds on average. The size difference between these two breeds may be seen.Ĭavalier King Charles spaniels are slightly smaller and lighter than their cocker relatives, measuring 12 to 13 inches at the shoulders and weighing 13 to 18 pounds.

It was raining that night 2005 movie11/23/2023 ![]() Spock ever got any emotion, right? You remember that one? It was really great because. I just had a flash of this show, that I saw while I was singing this tune. "Here's a song that has two names and they're both right: Clouds and Both Sides Now." While playing the song in Ambler, PA on August 22, 1974, Joni spoke this dialog mid-song while the band continued to play:ĭid you ever used to watch that show called Star Trek? (cheers from crowd) Oh. I call my song "From Both Sides, Now." Joni introduces the song this way at the Philadelphia Folk Festival on August 23, 1968: (strums) some other things from both sides (tunes). I remember as a boy having dreamed up at clouds a lot and having seen the cloud from both sides now, I suppose I shouldn't really be amazed by anything." And I like the idea of clouds from both sides and. And while he was up in the plane to Africa to find out what life was all about for him, he looked out of the plane window and he said, um, you know, "Look at those clouds down there it's very strange to look at the clouds from up above them. So he said "Well, I'll go along with you" and he did. "So one day his friends, who were about to leave for Africa on a honeymoon, said, "Well, why don't you come along with us?" And, uh, that sounds really peculiar but they were getting married for something like the third time themselves. He tried pig ranching, he figured that was pretty earthy, and, uh, decided that he didn't like pigs either. And so he tried to be earthy and get his hands into the soil. And he was very guilty about his wealth-because it was inherited. He'd been married twice and was contemplating a third marriage and wasn't really sure that he liked her very much. He was a multi-millionaire and, uh, that was a good start, I suppose. Now, Henderson, the character in the book-is, was, one of those people who was born with everything going for them, at least it looked that way on paper. "A short time ago, a friend gave me a book called Henderson the Rain King and I started to read it but I never got finished I got halfway through and sort of left the whole plot up in the air, literally, and got inspired to write the next song. There’s enchantment and dis-enchantment, what we’re taught to believe things are and what they really are." In late 1967, she introduced the song like this: But in this song there are only two sides to things… there’s reality and I guess what you might call fantasy. In most cases there are both sides to things and in a lot of cases there are more than just both. "This is a song that talks about sides to things. Interestingly, she gave the same introduction - word for word - on Octoat the Second Fret in Philadelphia: ![]() Joni introduces the song this way at the White Swan in Leicester, England on September 16, 1967. And so I got this idea 'from both sides now.' There are a lot of sides to everything, and so the song is called "From Both Sides, Now." I was reading a book, and I haven't finished it yet, called "Henderson the Rain King." And there's a line in it that I especially got hung up on that was about when he was flying to Africa and searching for something, he said that in an age when people could look up and down at clouds, they shouldn't be afraid to die. It - I should tell people a little bit about it. What have we got here? "Night in the City," "Circle Game" - oh, "From Both Sides, Now." I'm really glad somebody requested that, because that's a very new song, and I've been driving everybody crazy by playing it twice and three times a night. Gene: Want to do some of the requested songs? Joni in conversation with Gene Shay, "Folklore Program" March 12, 1967: Well something's lost, but something's gained ![]() They shake their heads, they say I've changed It is also the first time that Bangladeshi actor Riyaz Ahmed has acted with Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen.I've looked at clouds from both sides now The filming of It Was Raining That Night started in 2005 in locations such as India and USA. Black butler grell angery11/23/2023 ![]() He didn't seem to be bothered by your company, and you even helped him with chores. You always followed him around, maybe sometimes hanging out with your mother or father when you haven't seen them around but mostly, you stayed with Sebastian. So, instead of going to your parents room, you decided to go to your trusted butler's room. It's happened before, and you basically spent the day in your room, sleeping. You don't want your parents tired and angry with you since they didn't get enough sleep. And your parents, Cecil and Elizabeth Phantomhive can't keep having you sleep with them. It didn't seem normal for a six-year-old girl like yourself to be dreaming something so gory. You had that nightmare again alone in the dark, burning hot metal cutting your flesh, and low laughter enjoying your horrified you. You looked around your room and your bright, sea blue hair that reached to your shoulders swayed with your movements, and your emerald green eyes were glossy with tears. The pillows and blanket flew off the large bed, that was drenched in sweat and tears. "NO!" You screamed, thrashing up from your bed. Then, the pain ceased, and the low laughter the echoed in your mind stopped. A black figure with red wine eyes emerged through the darkness, and chuckled lowly, "awaken.princess (Y/N)." It whispered lowly. "Mommy! Daddy! Help me!" You screamed, more tears falling down your temples and hair, soaking it. It hurt to breathe, especially since the metal kept getting hotter and hotter, burning through your skin and into your flesh. You screamed in pain and your breaths became quicker, shorter, and faster. "S-Stop it!" You cried out your body twitching and struggling under the now burning metal. "No! No! NO!" Yo screeched, small tears sliding down your temples and into your waist long, (H/C) hair that was underneath you. "I'll make you pretty again.I will make you my slave, (Y/N)!" A gruff man's voice yelled in the distance making your (E/C) eyes fill with fear, as you started to thrash around. You hissed in pain and bit your cut and dry lips to contain the tears threatening your eyes. You were terrified at what was about to come, because you couldn't see, and because the shackles, slowly became heavier on your body, and hotter. Your body was chained down with heavy shackles that rested on your bruised and cut wrists, stomach, ankles, and neck. ![]() ![]() You couldn't scream, or cry for help at all, never mind moving around.
